This is an 8-9 mile walk, part of the Heart of Wales trail.

We will start at Cynghordy, sadly after the beautiful viaduct for those who missed the last leg of this trail.

The walk goes through pastoral farming country, before dipping to Dolauhirion wood and through tranquil water meadows alongside the River Towy.

We arrive at Llandovery, where I'm sure a coffee will go down very well indeed, but remembering we have a mile or two further to walk after our well earned refreshments.

At the end of the walk we will deviate from the trail onto a walking path that comes out near Penrock cottage, which is on a minor road, just off A4069, south of Llandovery. We will have left a car there.
