This is an 8 mile approx. walk from Berthddu on A483 just after Llanwrtyd Wells to Cynghordy.

Very soon the walk goes through Crychan forest, and soon zig zags down to cross Nant Hirgwm on an old road to Clynsaer.

It rises again through Gilfach farm on a bridleway, with wonderful views across to the Carmarthen Fans.

The trail leads to Llanerchindda, before running beneath the magnificent Grade 2 listed viaduct at Cynghordy.

For anyone wanting to travel home by the Heart of Wales train, it leaves Cynghordy at 16 37 for Swansea.
