This month's walk saw 15 members meet for a short 7 mile walk from the Blue Bell Hill Wildlife & Picnic Site, Walderslade. The car park was perched at a spectacular viewpoint in the North Downs overlooking the wide valley below to the Weald and greensand ridge beyond.
The walk took us down into the Medway valley to the village of Eccles and across farmland, passing various prehistoric sites and ancient springs.
Our return path took us back up and along part of The North Downs Way, passing Kit's Coty House, the remains of megalithic 'dolman' burial chambers.
Back at the car park, some of us decided to drive the short distance to The Robin Hood, for a quick drink.
Thanks go to Jeremy Palmer for leading this month's excellent walk. So good to meet up with everyone again for a most enjoyable day.
