A fine but chilly day brought out a large number of walkers with the final count being 22 plus 2 dogs. Setting out below the towering Wardour Castle we encountered constantly changing landscapes of Woods, Fields, Lakes and Streams over 7 miles with fine long reaching views . Throw in also the grandeur of New Wardour Castle where some managed to receive an invitation into viewing the fine Chapel which is rarely opened to visitors plus the end of walk opportunity to enter Old Wardour Castle ruins which is managed by English Heritage. A large contingent then retired to the Bennet Arms at Semley for a well earned pint.
