The overcast skies made near perfect walking weather after the recent weeks of full on Sun and the threat of Rain never remotely materialised. The 10 walkers quickly transferred by Car to the walk starting point at the Martin Nature Reserve and set off in the midst of Wild Flowers and Bird Song to cross Bockerly Ditch and Grims Dyke before the gentle ascent of Penbury Knoll and to take in the 360 degree views of Cranborne Chase. Descending through Tracks, Farm Fields, Woods and Roads we eventually were rewarded with the obligatory pint at the Sixpenny Brewery and consumed our sandwiches. Another successful walk and all look forward to returning there next year!
