On a warm Sunny morning in May , 24 members , including 1 new local member , met in the lovely village of Kingsclere to embark on an 11 mile walk around the Hampshire countryside.
We left the village and completed a slow climb to the village of Hannington where we enjoyed a refreshment break, before heading West on the Wayfarer’s Walk towards the Gallops adjacent to Watership Down.
After a relaxed lunch break we headed down the hill towards the village of Sydmonton and walked through the grounds of Andrew Lloyd Webber’ s beautiful estate , merrily singing all the West End hits , to which Andrew gave a cheery wave in response ( or a least I think he did ! )
Heading North to the village of Ecchinswell, we stopped for a well earned pint at The Royal Oak and after an impromptu photo shoot outside a Wisteria clad house in the village, we completed the final two miles through countryside to the village of Kingsclere .
