Our band of six braved the occassional drizzle to enjoy an afternoon forest stroll. Leaving the pretty gardens of Northport to skirt the golf course we entered Wareham Forest, pausing only to glean some ripe sloes.
After a long amble around Morden Bog still covered in blooming heather we crossed Parsons Pleasure Plantation to stumble upon a hidden Fairy Grotto deep in the woods.
After a refreshing pint at the Silent Woman Pub we followed the Wareham Forest Way encountering deer and cows before reaching the flood plains of the River Piddle. After a soggy trudge across the moist meadows we found our way out to Carey to enjoy a delicious curry at the Monsoon Curry House.
