On a part sunny but dry morning our band of 13 plus dog negotiated the muddy terrain across Stoborough Heath circumventing the Blue Pool into Norden Wood. After a rest stop at Norden Farm admiring their Peacocks we continued to emerge opposite Corfe Castle enjoying commanding views.
A short trek along the Swanage Railway led us to Norden Station where we enjoyed watching a steam train turn around during our picnic. More muddy paths across fields and thickets led us to Scotland Farm with unusual cattle breeds, geese and apparently wild pigs (although these were not evident).
We complete our circuit by crossing Hartland Moor with extensive views across to Poole Harbour, passing the remote former Fever Isolation Cottages and after some deer spotting concluded at the pub.
