On a beautiful spring day our band of 9 plus dog assembled in a remote corner of Rempstone Forest. Enjoying the tranquility we rambled towards the edge of Poole Harbour pausing to view the nodding donkeys at the Witch Farm Oil Field.

Following the Poole Harbour Trail we reached Ower Quay where we could picnic on the beach with wide ranging views of the nearby islands and over to Poole Harbour. Our return led us through mature woodland and picturesque remote dwellings (with the odd fairy grotto) and a welcome pint.
