Dorset Group 24th March 2022: Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove

On a beautiful spring morning with the sun shining and a clear blue sky above 13 of us met at Newlands Camp site. We proceeded north along a path lined with daffodils sheltered under the tall fir trees to Newlands Farm. Turning south west at the farm down the valley between the high Hills of Newland Warren to Scratchy Bottom to joined the coast path. Following the coast path east we passed the famous Durdle Door arch and beach plus the Man of War Rocks in St Oswald’s Bay and down the very steep slopping path to Lulworth Cove were we had our lunch break. After lunch we turned inland and returned along the foot path past Hambury Farm and across the fields to our cars.
