Twelve members got together on a rather grey but dry day for a walk along the beautiful river Dart between Totnes and Ashprington. As well as lovely views of the river the group were able to see the rewilding efforts underway on the Sharpham estate including the use of Konik ponies to mimic the wild horses that roamed thousands of years ago.
Following a picnic lunch in the community orchard in Ashprington the group took a brief tour of the village before heading back on the circular route to Totnes.
Thankfully at the end of the walk we were in time for a refreshment stop at a riverside cafe in Totnes.
