Two members enjoyed a cooling cycle ride on a hot summer's day on lovely undulating country lanes from Glastonbury to Bruton, then a little climb to Castle Cary for lunch and a pan-flat ride back home. Thirty-five mile round trip. Somerset was looking at its rural best. Beware, Castle Cary is a bit shut on a Sunday, unless you go to the pub or gate-crash a wedding at the Market Hall. We made do with what we'd brought.
