Bodnant Garden

The morning started off dry, but the weather forecast was for showers and longer periods of rain in the afternoon.

We met up at 11am outside the Visitor Centre and met our guides Robert and Dewi Roberts who was going to guide us around the garden. We did wait until 11.15am as two guys still hadn't turned up. We then headed off under the road where we came to the entrance where we could show our NT card or pay.

We then had Robert our guide explaining all the history of Bodnant Hall the terraces and the mill, which was very interesting. We then carried on to much more greenery, wonderful colours of leaves on the trees and down to the Old Mill. Again, our guide told us all the history of the family etc. This part of the garden was wonderful, with lots of colours and small waterfalls.  As we carried on we came to a small lake and by now the weather had become wetter with heavy rain.

We then started to head back to the Visitor Centre, passing The Poem, which sadly is now unsafe to go inside the building.

We all then went into the café for a light lunch and a good social chat.
