A figure of 8 walk around the renowned World Heritage Neolithic Site of Avebury Henge with the largest Megalithic Circle in the World taking in most of the major attractions. We start in Avebury and head west to visit Adam and Eve Stones before heading north to Windmill Hill (which predates Avebury Henge) and then return to Avebury to explore the Stone Circles. We next walk east to Overton Down before heading to the Sanctuary and onto and into the West Kennet Long Barrow. Passing Silbury Hill we return through the impressive and long Avenue of Standing Stones. Attendees wishing for a shorter walk may choose to leave the walk after the first loop and spend longer exploring Avebury itself and maybe the Alexander Keiller Museum.
