This is a glorious walk and one for all seasons. Seldom are you without a view and even when not, there is always something else to catch your eye. Water too is a constant feature, the route following in places a number of rivers and streams, and also some seductive woodland and majestic sandstone rocks. There are a couple of fairly steep climbs, a small price to pay for a wonderful day out.

There will be an informal planning meeting sometime during this walk where we will discuss walking events for 2028. Please come prepared with details of any walks you may be prepared to lead, or suggestions of walks, for next year.

Fordcombe

The village sits on the northern slopes of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, located about 5 miles (8 km) west of Royal Tunbridge Wells and with a population of around 550 people.

St Peter's Church: A local sandstone parish church built in 1847 with the help of the 1st Viscount Hardinge.

Chafford Mill: Historically relied on local spring water on the River Medway, shifting from grain production to manufacturing specialized paper—including paper for Bank of England banknotes—during the 19th century.

Hoath Corner

Hoath Corner is a quiet rural hamlet located in the civil parish of Chiddingstone within the Kent countryside. Designated as a conservation area in 2006.

The Rock Inn: A traditional, historic country pub located at the heart of the locality.
