A circular walk of approximately 9 miles starting in Brasted and heading south mainly through fields and woods, then onto Ide Hill where I plan we stop for lunch on the green which has several benches. There is also a pub (The Cock Inn) for anyone wanting a quick drink. From here we will head back north and west passing through Emmetts Gardens then onto French Street. The remainder of the walk is mainly along paths and a long track back towards Brasted. The walk can be shortened slightly if the weather and ground conditions on the day are unfavourable, if this happens we will probably have the lunch stop in Emmetts Gardens and would bypass Ide Hill.

Brasted is a village and civil parish in the Sevenoaks District of Kent and lies on the A25 between Sundridge and Westerham and is 6 km west of Sevenoaks town. The parish includes the hamlets of Brasted Chart, Toys Hill and Puddledock. The village of Brasted has a number of 18th-century houses with several antique shops, pubs and residences. The parish church is dedicated to St Martin.
