  • TerrainEasy/moderate along country roads, tracks, fields and woodland paths. A few gentle inclines. A few of the footpaths may be muddy, so good walking boots would be sensible.

Starting in Borough Green, the first couple of miles follow quiet country lanes though the small village of Basted before entering the north end of Mereworth Woods.  The walk then follows the Wealdway south, picking up the Greensand Way to Plaxtol.  The last few miles then head back to the village of Basted before returning to Borough Green.
