  • TerrainThis is an undulating route. A good portion of the walk is on level ground but there is one steep descent, one short and steep ascent and one longer section of gentle ascent. The area is prone to flooding so waterproof footwear is advised particularly if we have had rain.

This 6 mile walk covers an undulating area on the outskirts of Torquay. We will pass through some picturesque villages and along quiet country lanes before heading towards Kingskerswell. We then circle back to our start point.

Sheep, cattle, horses, goats and even some Alpaca may be seen along this route!

There are some far reaching views to Dartmoor and local farmland.  The route includes some short steep inclines on 'green lanes'. Some areas can be uneven underfoot (as well as muddy and wet after rain) so sturdy footwear is recommended. Whilst most roads used are very quiet there is at least one busy stretch. Care should be taken.

Walk leaders Rob and Carl have invited the group back to their house for a Devon Cream Tea at the end of the walk.
