Tinto Hill
Tinto Hill
Tinto is a prominent grassy hill in South Lanarkshire and is quite high at 711 metres. The ascent is straightforward and is popular with families but is a sustained and steep in places. The views from the summit are stunning on a clear day.
As this is a January walk, there could be snow and ice around so good boots and warm clothes will be essential. We will do a low level alternative if the weather is too bad to go high. About 7Km (4.5 miles). The walk may be extended with a circular walk taking in Lochlyock Hill. (13Km (8 miles). -
The route is steep in places, rough and could be muddy in sections.
