  • TerrainInitial steady climb for about one mile up from the valley, on a rocky path, then a more gentle descent

A circular walk of about six miles to Devil's Pulpit in the Wye Valley, walking along old tramlines with panoramic views of both the River Severn and Tintern Abbey, with a return route through old Tintern Rail station (with a break at the tearoom), Lippets Grove Nature Reserve, and Brockweir village.

The climb on the first part of the walk is a path of mainly hard rocks and small boulders.

You may wish to use insect repellant if the weather is warm.  Refreshments can be purchased from local eateries and pubs.
