The Western Drumochter Munros
Starting from the pass of Drumochter with a height advantage of around 400m, this is a relatively straightforward circuit taking in the four Munros - Geal-charn (917m), A' Mharconaich (975m) , Beinn Udlamain (1011m) and Sgairneach Mhòr (991m).
That said however, bear in mind that although spring may have sprung, winter conditions may still prevail at higher levels and require the use of an ice axe and crampons - so possibly a walk for those with some winter mountaineering experience. We'll be following the route described on the Steven Fallon Mountain Adventures website.
Weather permitting, there is also an option to include a bonus Corbett - The Sow of Atholl (803m) - towards the end of the walk, should we feel so inclined.
The entire circuit is around 15 miles (24 km) but if we have sufficient cars, we may be able to shorten it to around 12.5 miles (20 km) by leaving a car at the end point of the walk, thus avoiding a walk along the cycle path by the A9.
If there is sufficient interest and suitable overnight accommodation available in nearby Dalwhinnie, we may look at adding a shorter walk up Meall Chuaich (951m) for Sunday 23rd.
