A perfect almost flat walk for July walking from Bursledon through a mixture of Woods, Tracks, Field Paths and Road down to pretty Hamble-le-Rice where walkers have the options of a picnic stop or visiting a cafe or pub.

We then cross the wide Hamble Estuary to Warsash by the friendly pink ferry (£2.50 - Cash) and return virtually the whole way along the side of the Hamble on the raised gravel track with great views over the Hamble and mud flats with its wildlife and the multitude of yachts. We will then retire to the Jolly Sailor riverside pub made famous by its regular appearance in the popular TV series "Howards Way" (Now being re-run on TV Drama channel)
