This will be a loop walk starting at Simon's Woods which has truly impressive redwood sequoia trees where you  can also see the remains of an early Roman road from London to Silchester, believed to date from the second century and now nicknamed the Devil’s Highway. The Ridges are well known for their heathland and wildlife and offer far-reaching views towards the Hogsback Ridge in Surrey, and is one of the National Trust’s oldest acquisitions, having been in their care for over 100 years.  Ambarrow Hill  also belongs to The National Trust and is an intriguing mound. Its origins sadly unknown. This will predominantly be a woodland walk.
