  • TerrainEasy walking in the rolling Cotswold hills, a mixture of field paths, bridleways, and a very short stretch of road in the villages. No difficult hills and a fair amount of flat countryside in the Evenlode valley.

As part of the South Midlands celebration of the GOC's 50th anniversary year, this 7 to 7.5 mile walk takes in some of the prettiest Gloucestershire villages in the north of the Cotswolds.

We will be visiting Adlestrop, subject of the famous WW1 poem of the same name by Edward Thomas, Chastleton, passing the well known NT property Chastleton House, and Evenlode, which until 1931 was a detached part of Worcestershire.

Arrive from 10am for free coffee/tea and pastries before the walk. Tea and cake will be served in the village hall after the walk.

Village hall facilities will be available for our use.

Stay all day, or just come for the walk, walkers and non walkers are all welcome.
