From meeting place we follow the River Derwent up stream passing Waskerley Beck waterfall before climbing up through woodland. It's then field paths and more woodland to join the Waskerley Way.
We follow the old railway track for a while and walk over the impressive "Gill Bridge". Shortly afterwards we will loop back on ourselves to walk under the bridge with views of rock structures and caves on the way.
The rest of the walk is pretty flat or downhill passing wetland nature reserve and finally more woods to take us back to the start point.
