This Easter Sunday 7 - 8 mile circular walk in Neath will take in historic sites, waterfalls and a mountainside lunchtime stop.
The walk will include the historic ruins of a medieval monastery (with free entry should you wish to explore further at the end of the walk),
18th century iron works, workers cottages (currently being excavated) & a railway bridge attributed
to the great civil engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
The walk along the Clydach river, including 2 small waterfalls, will take us to a lunch stop on Drummau mountain, with views
over Neath & Bryncoch if the weather is kind to us!
Locals erect a Cross on the top of Drumau on Easter weekend - see photo.
NB: Some of this route is closed with work going on, at the time of posting this walk, so some information will be added later.
