Mount Battock from Glen Esk
Mount Battock.
Mount Battock is the most easterly Corbett, and quite a remote hill but is accessible from the public road up Glen Esk at Milldon Lodge. This is a rounded grassy hill with no particular difficulties. Views on a clear day will be extensive over Angus and Aberdeenshire. About 15km, 9 miles on tracks and paths and heather moorland, 5 - 7 hours walking, c 700m of ascent. This is a hill walk so expect some steep sections, muddy paths and boggy sections.
People intending to take part in this event should read GOC's document Safety in the Hills.
