
Medieval Waverley and Crooksbury
Circular varied walk through open landscape and woodland. We will be stopping for an extended coffee break at Waverley Abbey ruins - the first Cistercian monastery in Britain, where there are cafe facilities. We will then stop by Mother Ludlam’s Cave. Lunch stop will be at the scenic viewpoint at the top of Crooksbury Hill. Plenty of eye-watering houses en route.
Mainly paths, tracks and some roads. Generally moderate, with one steep climb. No stiles.
