A circular walk from Stow Railway Station up Lugate Water and Watherston Hill

A fairly easy hill walk of about 8 miles (14km) making use of the new railway line connecting Edinburgh to Galashields. This walk has been taken from the guide book 'Border Railway Walks' and starts at Stow Train Station, following Lugate Water past Ewes Castle and then attaining the broad grassy ridges above Stow for extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Stow itself is an attractive village and has a nice café for refreshments after the walk if time allows.
