We walk through Heavens' gate and weather permitting, there will be fine views of Longleat house and surrounding countryside. Descending further into the estate, over to Horningsham and along Cock / Forest road, through the woods to Maiden Bradley. Those who did the Maiden Bradley walk a while back will appreciate the geographic relationship between the two walks. After lunch, an undulating walk back to Horningsham, with a possible visit to the church, precludes a steepish climb back to the car park.
