Late Summer visit to Lambeth Palace Gardens
We return to the Lambeth Palace Gardens for some late Summer colour having enjoyed the Spring bulbs back in April. This 11 acre garden is the oldest continually cultivated garden in London. A mixture of formal and informal beds, tree lined walks, and vast lawns, all dramatically set off by the impressive buildings which make up the residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Impossible to miss is the massive 400 plus year old white fig given to the last Catholic Archbishop, Cardinal Pole, by the Vatican. The Great Hall is usually open for inspection.
The £5 entrance fee goes to the nominated charity of the day.
