Knowl Hill, Shottesbrook Park and Waltham St Lawrence
A circular walk of about 7 miles starting at Knowl Hill and passing through Shottesbrook Park and the village of Waltham St Lawrence. Shottesbrook Park was the home of the late Sir John Smith, founder of the Landmark Trust, and the estate is still the home of the Trust's headquarters. St John the Baptist church is situated on the estate but unfortunately is kept locked and only available to view during occasional church services and on weekdays during office hours.
The village of Waltham St Lawrence has several listed dwellings as well as the 16th century Bell Inn and the church of St Lawrence some parts of which date from the 12th century. Both church and pub will be open!
