The main theme of today's walk is the mining heritage, particularly tin mining of Cornwall. We pass quarries at Cligga Head and mineshfts at Pen a Gader.

Hanover Cove  is so named, after a Falmouth packet ship was wrecked here carrying £60,000 worth of coins (valued at that time) in 1763.

There's a steep dip  into Trellas Combe with it's Blue Hill Tin Seam Museum, before another dip into St Agnes.

After rounding St Agnes' Head, we'll see the photogenic chimney of Wheal Coates. We dip into the village of Porthtowan before the cliff top walk to Gooden Heane Cove, and the final drop in Portreath
