JOGLE Day 81 Porlock to Lynmouth
Our last day in Somerset.
We return to the coast path walking down Sparkhayes Lane to the low level path to picturesque Porlock Weir visited by Coleridge, Wordsworth and some say Byron.
Away from Porlock Weir we climb into Culbone Wood to Culbone Church, the smallest complete parish church in England, being 35 ft long 12ft 4in wide.
Here there are 2 options.I am taking the lower option which takes us on a long woodland adventure. The 2 paths merge further along with
peeps of rocks called Sir Robert's chair. The path returms to woodland eventually emergimg with fine views of Foreland Point.
Walk over open Butter Hill, close to the A39 before arriving in Lynmouth.
