JOGLE Day 65 Cleeve Hill to Birdlip
From Cleeve Hill we climb back up the to the Cotswold Way to the 327m peak and topograph, contouring to the Iron Age Fort, Prestbury Hill Reserve, eventually descending by Dowdeswell Woods.
We climb through Lineover Woods with it's ancient trees, crossing the busy A435 at Seven Spring, allegedly the source of the Thames. Along the ridge to Leckhampton Hill (Iron Age Fort), and the provocative Devil's Chimney.
Quickly moving on to the leafy Crickley Hill County Park with it's Iron Age promontory Fort and then a sharp left to cross the A417 at the wonderfully named Air Ballon.
Back along the escarpment to Birdlip Hill to 'The Peak' then to the B4070 and up to Birdlip village.
