We start on the Trent and Mersey canal towpath until we reach Wood End Lock

We walk along side the Curborough Brook, and go under the railway to the A5192 in Nether Stowe. Cross the road into Stowe, walk along Stowe Pool to Lichfield

Lichfield Cathedral is a place of pilgrimage, and has a relic bone of St Chad. The square has a statue to Dr Johnson, dictionary writer, Highland traveller and greatest man of letters of his day.
