Today we start our first of Scotland's Great Trails, also a designated National Trail,  the Great Glen Way.  From the Castle, we follow river and canal, before a steep climb. The route can be boggy in places. It is a long day. Eventually we drop towards Loch Ness and Drumnadrochit, the centre for all things Nessie. If you have any energy left after the walk, the picturesque Urquhart is worth a visit and who knows what you'll spot in the Loch.
