A circular walk of about 7 miles in two destinct parts around HAMPSTEAD MARSHALL West of Newbury. We set out from near "THE RED HOUSE PH" MARSH BENHAM South to the Kennet & Avon Canal. Following the tow path east to cross south to ENBORNE CHURCH (parking). We're we meet other members, who join us on a serpentine route through HAMPSTEAD MARSHALL PARK along estate drives past lakes, follies and Motte & Bailey's exploring the site of the "Great 1620 Mansion" Saddly burnt down in 1718. Returning to pub for food.
