Fingle Bridge to Step’s Bridge and the river Teign.
**INFORMATION UPDATE**
We have 12 spaces available in cars for the return journey from Steps Bridge to Fingle Bridge and these are now all taken by people already booked on the website.
Anyone who would like to come from now on is welcome to join us but you will have to leave us at some point on the walk and make your own way back to the Fingle Bridge Inn where we can meet up..
If you turned around at the lunch spot it would be approximately 7.5 miles walk in total.
When I did the recce last week the daffodils were fully out and beginning to go over, but we may be lucky to see a few later blooms
We will walk from Fingle Bridge alongside the River Teign to Step's Bridge.
The walk is almost entirely in woodland and finishes in Dunsford Wood nature reserve. The nature reserve is famous for it's Dippers and also for it's native Daffodils which will hopefully be at their peak in late March.
We will organise some cars to be at Step's Bridge so we can drive back to Fingle Bridge where the Inn provides coffee and cakes (or beer) beside the river.
Please register for the walk or let Alan know by text so we can be sure to have enough cars in the right place!
Please note:
Just to let you know the B3212 between Moretonhampstead and Docombe is closed due to a land slip. This should not affect anyone’s journey to Fingle Bridge but please bare it in mind if you are driving around before or after the walk
