A winter walk without mud, stiles or gates. Instead we shall have towpaths, footpaths and paved ways along our exploration of Birmingham's west side. We shall have to opportunity to traverse the wide avenues laid out in the 1800s and admire the grand homes of the 'movers and shapers' as well as those of 'ordinary people, leading ordinary lives'. We'll pass the sometime home of W H Taylor (Ruskin Pottery) and Sir Alec Issigonis (automotive designer). This walk is a variation of one we did some years back. After the walk the coffee shops and pubs at Harborne will be pleased to receive our custom if you fancy.
