This circular walk explores the riverside landscapes and nature reserves along the Medway estuary.

The route passes through footpaths and green corridors that lead towards Sharps Green and the wider landscapes of Riverside Country Park. This large coastal park is known for its salt marshes, mudflats and wide estuary views, making it one of the best places in the area to spot birds and enjoy open riverside scenery.

Continuing along the sea wall, the walk reaches Bloors Wharf, once a busy working wharf along the River Medway and now a quiet point overlooking the estuary. From here, the route continues to Motney Hill, a headland extending into the river, offering expansive views across the marshes and surrounding landscape.

The walk then turns inland to Berengrave Nature Reserve, a former chalk quarry transformed into a peaceful woodland and lake nature reserve. Finally, the route returns to Rainham Railway Station, completing a varied circular walk that combines riverside paths, coastal wildlife habitats and tranquil green spaces.
