Driesh and Mayar from Glen Clova
Please note the date for this meet has been changed from Sunday 26th May to Saturday 25th May
Dreish and Mayer are two of the Angus munros, normally accessed from the lovely glen of Glen Clova. These are predominantly grassy rounded hills of 947m and 927m respectively and their ascent is not too difficult.
The traverse of both these hills is a longish walk 15km (9 miles) with c850 metres of ascent. This will take us 6-7 hours; the final climb up Driesh can be avoided if needed. This is a mountain walk so expect steep climbs and descents.
People intending to take part in this event should read GOC's document Safety in the Hills.
