From our start point we follow The Derwent Walk for a short distance before taking field paths to Medomsley.

From here it is a lane and more field paths passing close to Hamsterley Hall which was the home of Field Marshall Viscount Gort, a prominent figure in both World Wars.

We then rejoin the Derwent Walk which we follow through the Derwent Valley back to our start point.

There are great views throughout.
