A 5.5 or 7 mile walk from Compstall to Romiley and back.  The walk will go by Redbrow Wood alongside the River Etherow and then turn across to join the Peak forest Canal at the marvellous Marple Aqueduct.  We will then leave the canal to follow tracks around the northern edge of Romiley and through the golf course back to the start.  Then there is an optional one and a quarter mile stroll around the Etherow Country Park.  Drinks afterwards either in the coffee shop at the car park or at the open air pub in the Country Park.
