An easy and pleasant country walk along part of the River Avon and the River Marden valley, following the course of an old railway for much of the way.  This walk is linear, with good train and bus links. From Calne, the return to Chippenham is using a regular bus service. Many trains and buses will get you to the starting point.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, but for a short section of the walk through the woods they must be on leads.
