As an experiment we thought it might be fun to have a very relaxing amble along the riverside promenade in Caversham and a little exploration down the riverside footpath towards Purley. This walk may appeal to those walkers who find some of our walks a little too strenuous. It is an easy walk along a level promenade and  footpath. It is intended to be more of a social event and  provide an opportunity to meet up with fellow walkers over a nice cup of tea after the walk. Caversham has a good range of tea and coffee shops and we can decide on the day which appeals most to our walkers. There are pay and display car parks both by the river promenade and in the centre of Caversham.
