Callader Crags and Bracklin Falls
Callader Crags and Bracklin Falls
A fairly easy but attractive walk to kick off the year from the small town of Callander. The walk starts from the town centre and visits The Braklin Falls before climbing Callander Crags with its memorial to Queen Victoria on the summit, from which there are extensive views to the mountains in the north and over the Forth valley and the Gargunnock Hills to the south. The walk is on good paths throughout and passes through some pleasant broad leaf woodland. There is a moderate climb up Callander Crags and the descent from the crags is quite steep initially.
About 7 miles (11km) (about 4 hours). Max elevation 280 meters.
