Cairngorm classic by public transport
An easy 6 mile walk starting at Aviemore station, taking a bus to the start of the walk in Glenmore.
From Glenmore by Loch Morlich, we'll take the (relatively) rougher trail to An Lochan Uaine (the Green Lochan) passing through forest and the odd venerable Scots Pine. From there we'll climb out of the tree line up to Ryvoan Bothy, which sits at the start of the steep climb up Meall a' Bhuachaille (which we won't be taking), instead we'll stop for a cuppa inside the bothy. Once we're ready we'll take the path back down to the Lochan and the easier trail through the forest and back to Glenmore. If the weather is kind we should get amazing views out over Abernethy reserve, Loch Morlich and the Cairngorm mountains.
Disclaimer - some of these pics may have been taken at a slightly warmer time of year.
