This is a beautiful walk in the hills of Warwickshire, which starts in the village of Farnborough. Our route takes us uphill through Avon Dassett and then on to the tiny hamlet of Burton Dassett. The plan is to take a coffee break here so that walkers can admire the village church (from both outside and inside). It has been called "the cathedral of the hills" and has remained largely unchanged since the 14th century. From here we make the climb to the summit of Windmill Hill (amazing 360 degree panorama!) before working our way steeply down to Northend village and thence to Fenny Compton (which, for the railway enthusiasts, boasted two railway stations!). From here we cross fields to join the tow-path of the Oxford Canal, eventually crossing the canal to make our way back to Farnborough and the cars.
