Bristol Harbourside Hike
A circular walk from central Bristol, taking in a big boat, a bridge and hopefully some autumn colour.
This walk is particularly public transport friendly.
Leaving central Bristol we head along the south bank of the harbour. We say ‘goodbye’ to the wet bit at Ashton and head up into the Ashton Court estate where we should be greeted by the trees in their autumn colours. Crossing the suspension bridge with good views to the south, we’ll stop for lunch above the bridge at the observatory.
Suitably refreshed, we’ll walk down through Clifton village rejoining the wet bit at Hotwells, followed by a stroll along the north side of the harbour back to the start.
Given good weather, this should be a lovely autumnal walk. (Always read the label.)
